Asked Broad and Perrot. No answer. At the time they wouldn't even say who it was they were having the dispute with. My understanding it was the old story of the scope of variations and the resultant costs not being formally agreed on before new work was undertaken. It must have been fairly major miscommunication for it to go this pear shape or there might be some other issues at play.
