I think the common themes running across both boom and busts are euphemism, unrealistic expectation and plain ignorant about business or should I say irrationalism and not to mention greed.

Resource price is different to the tech boom though in the sense that prices were driven by schedules but clealy the cost was unsustainable and the lag in production output eventually caught up with demands.

Yes, I think there will be another boom and bust...it's called carbon trading. It's almost like trading cosmic dusts. There plenty of it....whooohoo!
