raider, IMO Turnbull would not want to wait 3 years to get the job of PM, assuming an early election with labor winning and I doubt the lib's would want to lose an election, hence Dumping Abbott before an election is their best bet.

Yeah the idea of dumping leaders like labor did seems like a bad idea but Abbott has always been unpopular and if managed properly, remember dumping rudd was not managed properly when he was still popular, IMO installing Turnbull could win favour with voters and lots of them love him
