What gets me with nuclear power is that the public has been given just one negative perception (Chernobyl) of nuclear. Yet Australia is so far from the Ukraine we may as well be talking about what happens on the moon.
Still much of the general public and many politicians still hold no idea of what current nuclear plants (in the western world) deliver. Australia needs an updated look at what nuclear power will mean to end users and the greenhouse issue.
The Greens by election default control labor government decisions keep waffling on about greenhouse and carbon, yet they show their true colours (and ignorance) by remaining blind to how Australia holds all the answer to its biggest polluter (coal fired power stations).
Crazy thing is I still wonder if Australia will ever wake up and use its natural resources. Politicians seem content in continuing to not back the production industry and relying on just exporting the countries raw products. We have no visionary's left as they all move OS to countries that have vision. Very disillusioned about the political talent and general Australians lack of comprehending the big picture.
