I am for nuclear, not for my holding in NTU, but for my belief in that it is a better alternative for the future of Australia. I find all current politicians devout of much worth, however at least with some of the conservatives we have some realists who can see the importance of the mining, oil, gas industry (contribution to Australia).

I do feel we lack the much needed toughnuts like Charlie Court, John Howard. You put people in power who have the balls to make the best decision for Australia, this is not to be confused with the most popular decision.

The last thing you want (in the top job) is a politician who lives daily by policy polls of brainless Australian voters. Rudd was an obvious later day example.

The best companies remain on top because the management makes decisions that keep them on top, and in so doing keep people employed and shareholders rewarded. Running a country is no different, money in the bank, people employed, low taxes and a bright long term future.

The non compulsory voting would bring us into the 21st century with all other countries. Even tiny NZ hasn't had compulsory voting for years. It would save idealogic politicians getting "any votes" as most of these have no regard or comprehension for Australia's well being (such as Bob Brown).

China is going nuclear power in a massive way, so NTU uranium will no doubt find itself in good use.
