Late 70's Hawke drunk at a Vic Police function in Russell St drunk and molesting a waitress. Senior Supe' told him to stop. Hawke told him to get f*ed. Senior Cop said come outside, Hawke obliged, Hawke was down in the gutter after one punch throwing up his guts. Media took photos but never shared them.
Hawke never apologised to the girl. My father was there and so was John Sylvester's (naked city fame). John actually published this story in The Age after Hawke died.
