Beautiful big coal fired power stations. The government was warned years ago about putting all your eggs in one basket. Well no one would listen to experienced operators. Also in Vic ( Don't know about other states) the private operators increased the unit output which has the effect of putting more stress on the plants past their original design limits and I feel that this action has added the risk of breakdown and service life. This supply mess has been coming for years it has been just luck we have survived till now. Many close shaves have passed. Worse to come.
