    Solar and wind are the dole bludger's of the energy market. They only turn up when it suits.

    I have a 5kW solar array facing due north and at 41º to the horizontal.

    I am very conscious of keeping my electricity use under control.

    My last bill (mid Feb to mid Apr) showed that my solar only provided 46% of my electricity.
