Yep..agree ...grandfathering , exceptions , thresholds , targeted groups etc means its a poor policy...
Laws should be for ALL Australians dependent on how much each can affordable pay...
ie A GST on a franked credit would be 10% of 30% tax credit that is 3%..this 3% tax rate would be on ALL shares franked credits
So a person with $10,000 of franked credit pays $1,000....a person with $300 credits pays $30...
So whether you pay tax or not...you still pay the 3% tax ( 10%gst of 30% credit )
Thats FAIR...
Its simple and non discriminatory
OR
All companies that pay 30% tax on dividends is tax free to the recipient shareholder...
Companies that pay 15% tax..you pay the extra 15% tax
Companies that pay no tax..you pay the 30% tax...
There are no cash back rebates etc
