If you control 100% of the cash with 20% of the shares, isn't that a benefit?
Listen, MLX (imho) trades at a discount to fair value. Imho this is at least partly due to the fact that the market doesn't trust that MLX capital allocation management will benefit shareholders. So, I see this as an opportunity. If MLX would declare a solid and sustainable capital management policy allocating a good chunck of free cash flow (let's say 30-40%, which is quite common under peers) to shareholder return, that would be helpfull in enhancing trust of the market.
I am old enough to remember APAC/Old Peak shenanigans, did that make any sense from the outside?
