Thursday sales were massive (over 8 million) and unlikely short sales represented a similar percentage of that total, but we'll know tomorrow when Thursday short sales are announced.
My guess from various holdings notices (including acknowledgement of short sales contracts) that our (un)friends at NAB/MLC and/or UBS are at work here along with the usually wannabe baby shorters adding their contribution.
