The real question, IMVHO, is whether HPA is needed for solid-state batteries. Which have far more chance of achieving that 1,000,000 m benchmark. In fact, they are likely to be next anyway given Toyota is rolling out an EV with a version with them in say 2023 maybe earlier. (The s.s. battery, not the 1m bat.)
