re: alternate forum/psd
When Ozestock closed the M$T forum there a week or two ago, all the M$T crowd went over to Stockhouse.
The advantage there is all the posts on a company are housed together on a single forum.
Compared to Hotcopper where posts on many different companies & subjects are mixed together during the day, which makes for an exciting pace, albeit harder to concentrate on just one subject.
Personally I like the people on Hotcopper better than Stockhouse, yet I prefer the uncluttered look & layout of the forums there.
So I guess you can choose whichever site suits your needs best.
