I just saw a story of a poor young guy with epilepsy in Qld. The parents are taking him to the US, spending 100s of thousands getting his medical marijuana.
Someone needs to tell them that if the law is wrong - clearly wrong - then you can break it. eg. If you're in your car at a set of red lights and they have been red all day, do you sit there indefinitely or do you realize they are broken and proceed with caution?
Of course they'd need to deal with some dodgy types to get the drug for their son, but that seems more ethical than spending their entire superannuation and dragging him across a 20 hour flight multiple times.
