In my opinion, this is huge news as it fundamentally changes the growth profile in the USA. Reading between the lines Afterpay are going to adopt virtual cards for instore shopping which could mean all merchants with an instore presence are turn on from Day 1.
it may not get rolled out that way, but with a virtual CC you remove the issues which have slowed the deployment of instore in ANZ - integration with POS systems and training instore staff.
