Will Frydenburg allocate some of that $60 billion gained to the poor short term casuals?

Even a $5 billion injection will be a handy boost for the BNPL sector.

If even 10% of that 5 billion goes to BNPL, that's about $500 mil. Let's say half of that goes to APT. That's $250 mil GMV just for doing nothing. I love free money!

I see continued weakness in retail & hospo for the rest of the year. I think Frydenburg has no choice but to acquiesce to Albanese's and Labour's demands. He needs to continue giving more helicopter money. Lowe is hamstrung at the Reserve Bank and can't cut rates further. Bond markets are stabilising so any more QE will have diminishing returns. Now is the time for fiscal stimulus. Frydenburg has to use that $60 billion 'windfall' in one way or another. If not helicopter money, then tax rebates or something of the sort.

Even if he doesn't, it is highly likely that he will either extend or taper the existing benefits. $60 billion is huge......

    All positives for BNPL.

The share price always moves ahead of news................Follow the money.

    $50 next week ~~~~~~~
