Another chart to show the total number of employees:
This does show more clearly that Afterpay is still the 900 pound gorilla among the Australian firms.
Same chart with Klarna added:
This shows imo that while Klarna, APT and Zip compete in product, theyre not necessarily completely comparable business models. APT and Zip have much lighter operations, while Klarna (while still a comparatively flexible startup company) is more of a hybrid between BNPL and a traditional bank. APT and Zip both make 2x the revenue per employee than Klarna does.
