I note that Jetstar charge a 1.5% levy to use Afterpay.
Amex & Diners are 1.01%
Visa & Mastercard .49%
When I was in retail, Amex & Diners were around 3% to 4% commission charge
with Visa & Mastercard around .7%.
There are obviously deals, depending on the size of your operation.
To get my head around the viability of Afterpay, I am looking for small retailers on this forum to advise what commission rate they pay to Afterpay. I'm thinking of hairdressers, gift shops, small clothing shops etc. If your contract states "in confidence", that may well answer my question.
My operation had a multi million $ turnover, however Amex & Diners made up less than 10% of payments after we were able to assign commissions to customers through a change in credit legislation.
