I understand your opinion and tend to agree with you but the rumor i heard was china is now making these batteries. And the rough numbers quoted to me where The battery is twice the physical size for the same storage and has a longer life span and half the cost. Don't know how that works out on the cost curve evaluations. However from my reading i can see that the AL battery can charge much faster, and cahrge more cycles (like a lot more cycles) but that is of little consequence as solar not going to need rapid charging and at twice the size sounds like it will never be a MOB battery but they are saying great for solar storage or Cars.
Double note when i ask who's making them the answer is i cannot tell you cause i want the sole Australian agency. I have obviously looked every where i can, so this could all be BS. Pub talk can be far worse than Hot copper talk.
