S32 has $US1.5b coming over a couple of years. I think you spent $300-400m, curious, less than depreciation. Sure, extinguish the debt, effectively increasing borrowing capacity.
No, my thesis is that S32 has plenty dry powder + borrowing capacity for M&A.
Is S32 cruising around First Quantum, in a pile of trouble? Ravensthorpe, maybe not; Cobre Las Cruces, next to SFR; Zambian Cu looks too hard to value country risk, same with Peru Cu.
Maybe GK & team have SFR in their sights. Good business, Cu, Zn, Ag. Leading position in two globally significant Cu provinces. It would cost at least $A5 to 5.5b. 50/50 cash and scrip puts it entirely within reach.
