I've got a thumping from the rear of my Camry over even small bumps. I had a mech look at it but he couldn't find anything: $55 thanks. He did spend time on it, OK.
So I did a search. About the only thing that could cause this is a stabiliser bar bush, should be cheap and easy to fit so I decided to replace and hope. Fulcrum, a national franchise, quoted $26 for the bush, about right, and $404 labour which is outrageous. There is literally two easy to get at bolts to remove and replace, 10 mins max once it is on the hoist..
Looks like I've got to get under the car myself but even the dealer doesn't keep one in stock so I'll have to buy the bush on the net. There are two bushes, front and back, on every Camry and Corolla and it is not a stock item.
