AS a hobby I once took a photography course run by a professional photographer. He said that the key to taking that "perfect outdoor shot" at the right time is to always have your camera on you and ready to photograph something. - and take lots of photographs and delete the ones you do not want to keep. This well for me until I dropped my camera on the ground. I now rely on the lens in my mobile phone.
