Here is a link worth reading about a new treatment that may be a breakthrough for Alzheimers.

Regarding Fish Oil, I have just begun taking this stuff - I have done so in the past (couple of caps a day), but evidentally not in sufficient quantity for it to make a difference. I recently saw that it is beneficial in reducing body fat, so I thought I'd give it a try for 30 days.. The study had people using 3gm a day. However I noted that the label said that Arthritis sufferers might take up to 4 caps at a time. I thought what the hell I will take 3 caps 4 times a day - which is 12 gms. After about 5 days it occured to me that I wasn't waking up in the morning with a sore back or lieing in bed at night with an aching back. The fabled anti-inflammatory effect had kicked in. No more aches and pains and I sleep way better. I am cutting back to 8 caps a day and may reduce further. I think it has a stacking effect and as long as I can maintain the anti-inflammatory response I will be more than happy. This stuff is remarkable and wonderful. But note: Only use Omega 3 and avoid anything with Omega 6 or 9 - these are both inflammatory oils. Also only use marine Omega 3 as the plant based stuff is not a substitute.

Among the MANY benefits of fish oil is a reputed aid in treatment for Alzheimers.
