    You just never know.

Look at the stock market crash last week (similar panic setting in to the Friday sell-off of MFS which saw their share price fall 70%) So much doom and gloom around you'd think the end of the world was nigh and then the Fed cut interest rates and people came rushing back in!

SPECULATION over recession fears (helped by the media of course!) sent markets tumbling (helped by the media of course!) all over the world and NEWS that the FED cut rates saw markets rebound in some cases ending the week in the green. Not that it's going to stay like that or that MFS can be directly compared but just trying to make a point about speculation and news

There's been alot of speculation with MFS and not much news. Don't forget that even when they announced they had an upcoming debt to settle (and mistakenly linked themselves with Centro) their SP was between $3 and $4. And even then, there were quite alot of brokers still maintaining 'buy' recommendations. They haven't released any other news regarding fundamentals other than their debt position.

News is everything. Sentiment can change very quickly in this game and it's about being on the right side at the right time. Who were the losers on Tuesday when the ASX lost nearly 8%? SELLERS. Who were the gainers on Wednesday or even better if they held and sold on Friday? The BUYERS on Tuesday.
