I did become a born again believer which lasted 3 years of mental/spiritual confliction.
In the end I decided it was BS, but not before reading the Bible 3 times cover to cover, studying it daily and fasting for 30 days( just water) with prayer for an answer. I went to church and prayer groups several times a week and loved the people I mixed with, absolutely love gospel music and tithed my gross wages (one tenth), printed the church weekly newletter, and did outreach.
So is my decision of it as BS the fact I am evil, I am just wanton (amoral) or just too retarded to understand the "good news".
Maybe I was just tricked by Satan.
I look forward to my verdict at the final judgement.
If it is just then I have nothing to fear.
I suspect that applies to most of humanity, if there is a final judgement.
