as a "FYI" the Aphrodite leases were held by Barrick for quite some time and they never developed it, despite having two plants (being Kanowna Belle and KCGM) to process the dirt.

AXM bought in, with the understanding that the dirt would be processed at Wiluna.

Obviously a major and a junior have had a crack and walked away. If AQQ were to have success it would be years away - based upon my understanding that this would involve finding another lode to bump up the tonnes/grade to justify making a mine out of bush etc etc.

If you want to make short term $ on speccy announcements, look at companies which have rich orebodies and can have multiple ounce drill intercepts.

From what I remember of first year mining economics, more money is made out of banks on the stock exchange than miners.
