good try... but the number of people per house has been coming down for over 20 years...just the opposite to what you propose....2.46 per person...
however if it comes down to a full on depression as in the 1930's...you could be right....and there could be a lot of 'squatters' in the empty houses
and I believe the UK is having a big problem with the number of single dwellers...not sharing...not with family
