AMA endorses Uluru Statement, page-8

    What we see in the AMA statement is something that is happening throughout our society and that is people using their pubic profile and the organisation that they lead for their own personal political agenda

    There is no justification for the AMA (probably not in their charted either) to insert themselves into discussions about the Constitution of Australia
    They do not represent the people of Australia and it is doubtful if the statement represents their members either

    But this is becoming common with Local Government dictating what should happen on matters which are the sole prerogative of the Federal government

    People get elected to a position which gives them media access and they have the presumption to talk on behalf of the people they represent even when they have not even polled those people

    Naturally the media likes anything that sells their stories and are not interested in qualifying the stories truth or it's veracity
