Agree with you there Kwaidan1.
The reported profit means that anyone glancing through tables, ratios, or anything like that looking for a bargain won't give AMU a second look, and AMU is a business that needs to be looked at and understood to see how cheap it is.
Apart from now going for bigger (and riskier) targets with deeper wells, I think they have also accelerated their drilling as the more reserves they move to P1 I understand the less they will have to amortise - boosting reported profits.
Anyway, hopefully the next 12 months is fruitful. Will be a nice change after a 2 year slide in share price.
