The Amadeus to Moomba Gas Pipeline is a revival of AGIG's submission to the 2015 NT government pipeline tender, which Jemena won.
There's not much work for AGIG to dust this off and the 2021 FID was predicated on the Amadeus drilling program. They are expecting an increase in JV reserves and production capacity to support 80TJ/d (gross JV) as a foundation customer for the 124TJ/d pipeline capacity.
FID was 2021 for first gas 2024, so the delay in the farm out and drilling program will push these dates out.
Origins news yesterday on the closure of the country's biggest coal-fired power station, Eraring, in early 2025, is likely to assist funding support from the Northern Australia Infrastructure Facility.
More gas will be needed on the East Coast, so this should be favorable for gas supply projects like the AMGP.
