Just a light, due diligence look at AMAL's corporate website starting with their "Board and Executive Team" page. Take a look for yourselves.
After stumbling through the broken grammar and/or misspelling on the page (I checked; English IS the first language of Singapore) it's left me with more questions than answers.
A total of 6 people are listed. 2 of these; Simone Suen, (the self-described housewife) and Pramoko (who needs no introduction) are on "garden leave" until their departure on Sept. 1. What is "garden leave", anybody? And if they're leaving then, why not now? Is it to remain long enought o be rewarded with the bonuses going round?
The bio's of the people listed are razor thin and non of them cover any sort of background in the recent past.I don't see any listing of other employees at all and most of the rest of the website regurgitates Tawana's operations.
This hasn't stopped the the AMAL people issuing themselves millions of shares in performance bonuses. Originally, I believe they were to be issued cash but if Tawana is on the hook to provide a near equal measure of shares in the merger, it's easier to let Tawana bear half the cost. Nice work if you can get it.
So these are the near-anonymous characters who will inherit 51% of Tawana's operations. Has anyone met these people? Are they nice? Who knows?
