Unbelievable that the average person needs to see a doctor 16 times a year.
I suspect that it is a result of the "bulk billing" entitlement mentality where people think it's free so why not use it.
In this area it costs $65 to see our doctor. After medicare rebate we are out of pocket about $30. Would we change doctors to visit the local bulk billing fellow? Not on your nellie!!
Bulk billing for pensioners, unemployed and disadvantaged is fine. Bulk billing everyone leads to overservicing.
It's really starting to rain here now. And don't we need it!!
