Noellyn; how do you define an 'amateur'? and what is it to you if someone wants to lose money?
I am an amateur in that I don't trade shares for a living (just as well) and someone else has $4342 of what I put into Exco; so what?
This country is strangled enough with petty regulation and with our Glorious Leader and his cohorts telling us all the time how we should be living our lives it doesn't look as if things are likely to improve. So can we at least have one place where nobody tells us what to do with our money?
Rises and falls on single trades don't mean anything in the long run apart from reminding us that the value of a stock isn't real wealth even though we have paid real money for it; as I have discovered painfully in the past year or two.
We amateurs may do some dumb things but at least they are honest dumb things. The manipulations of some of the 'professionals' in the market don't do anything for the moral standards of the nation, legal or not.
