Some have taken your suggestion a little seriously and put thumbs down a few times me thinks.

I wonder if the pattern you have observed could be a coincidence of someone else giving a thumb shortly after yours.

We now know that is what happened with Honey's one today.

Perhaps it's a good thing that HC removed the function which indicated the actual number of "downs" given to a post! Some of us may never post again!
