FNT today's announcement relating to swit Kia prospect Papua New Guinea is very significant and amazing. Jack hammer trenches and lower zone assay appear to be very high grade from 293 g/t to 27/g/t.
Ann provides pictures showing large white and smoky qtz veins -these veins carries gold. Most importantly, these veins are shallow and some are exposed on the surface embedded in relatively fresh mafic rocks.
Please note, occurrence of quartz veins in fresh mafic rocks confirm likelihood of consistent grade - I am sure this would be confirmed in due coarse during exploratory RC drilling.
If one look at the picture that show formation of grid type structure to correctly collect samples with location confirms high standard exploratory process.
It is really amazing- true extent of this high grade deposit will be known during exploratory drilling.
