malmoe, I have a back ground in Business Broking, 3 times NPAT is a standard yardstick used to value businesses not taking into account goodwill, customer base, competitiors in your market place ect ect
Clearly listed entities cant be valued in the same way as private businesses ,value often gets priced into the equation ahead of results, we call that speculation..
