Cash flow producing assets that have now had bankruptcy risk removed from them are very very rare.
Takeover premium can now re-enter the stock as break up value just came into the stock, shorts will have to cover, some hedge funds will go long, new retail buying on this news, vulture funds will realise that convertibles will remove a debt overhang, liquidity risk has been altered, cost of debt just fell as risk premia fell, asset sales will recapitalise and equity can be rerated so that by December 15, LT financing can be provides, slashing debt cost and transferring back to equity holders. Analysts jump back on board.
Well see I guess. CNP has real option and equity value here for the first time in 2008, just not sure how much yet.
