pphhhhh fear of Amazon is like fear of the millennial bug. Everybody is afraid of it, but it will never happen, at least not to the absurd degree that some ppl are prophesising. I guess the chattering masses need to talk/worry about something
A parallel is Uber. Ppl cried the sky was falling for taxis when that little business started up. In fact, taxi driver incomes went down by only about 10% (sure, not good, if you're a taxi driver, but not the disaster some claim it would be). The reason was simple: Uber didn't steal taxi trips, it actually made new ones (ppl who would not have ever used taxis beforehand). Amazon will, in part, be much the same.
