    Great article in today's AFR (see link below) which reiterates a lot of what has been said on this forum about how discount variety is well positioned in a post Amazon world. Nothing particularly new, but all the discount operators agree that the small basket size ($20-$23) and geography of Australia means online is low down on their priority list. As one operator said, its very hard to deliver 6 cups to Echuca cost effectively! I also note that the share prices of the US and Canadian discount operators continue to climb, despite being on trading multiples 3-4x that of TRS (and more in the case of Dollarama in Canada).
