It's interesting looking at the retailers in Oz. I have a basket of retailers I track on ASX, and 2019 has been a pretty good year considering all the doom...as they have been under severe pressure for many years.
Basket is MHJ (Jewelry), SSG (Mens grooming), ADH (Homewares) and MYR (Dept store/brands).
Have a look at some of their results this FY, and also note the online sales and in particular Adairs: Online sales +42% to $58.8m (now 17% of total sales)
I keep my eye on these results and basket of stocks, as it also is a good representation of the Aussie consumer.
2019 is looking up for them. Michael Hill results had a good reaction yesterday.
