When Orora was first spun out, I was a bit bemused because I didn't think the business was that far out of place within the larger Amcor group, so at the time I failed to see the point of de-merging.
But it seems to have been the correct strategic call because, standalone, ORA has actually done quite well since it was de-merged [*], which may not have been possible had the business not been independently capitalised and managed.
[*] not sure the share price performance necessarily reflects it, though
