"Amendments" to documents or "Overhauling" to a takeover offer?

A month to amend an already written up sales document seems a little extreme. Maybe they're completely overhauling the sale/documents and a takeover offer is on the cards?

I can't work out why else it would take a month to amend a document. The board of directors of Antares Energy and lawyers were in discussion over these amendments. Lawyers were involved 3 weeks ago, from memory? We're literally talking $500,000+ cash burn to employees and lawyers in pay-checks, to amend a document over a month. It's insane
