I do think it's possibly the most history changing election any of us have seen and may well see

it's real watershed stuff - for America and probably for many nations - maybe even most nations, certainly in the Western world.

I think that one could opine at length on eg. the impacts and messages it's had for America and for Australia (just 2 examples)

And I don't think we can possibly judge the outcomes of the messages that will be taken up.

Take Australia - Dutton has already begun - indeed, he'd done so before the election - to make big noise - he's taken the Liberal party message from 'timid' and 'conservative' to radical and a little noisy, from save and cut to big spend, from state power to centralised power, from privatisation to government owned.

Now - post election Dutton is beginning to make clear Trump style utterings, just like a parrot.

How that actually impacts Australia's future is to be seen -------- take for instance his 'go big and go hard' idea ------ that's overturned the entire belief of the Liberal Party since 1944 and is a total shock 'about turn' since John Howard and the 'do nothing, just watch the spending' days. ---------- Gone, pooooof. In the future washup - that 'might' be a good thing - or it might be the destroyer that is heading for Oz fully armed. Only time will tell.

For America - it's really more like what America stands for now, not what say, GOP stands for - which to me is a far bigger change than what Trump has done to GOP - (basically destroyed GOP)

but, GOP is just a party - America, that's a whole different kettle of fish. And that AmericanS - the people who make AmericA - have voted clearly to put such a low level person into the Office of the United States of America - is breath taking; AND they have shown in clear language that many of the things they like to think about themselves as good and whole and wonderful and healthy and ideal - like living the 'idea' of The New Colossus ---

is gone - pooooof, The New Colossus has been put in the wombat ejector and fired out over American into the deepest part of the Pacific, never to be seen again.

Truly all watershed stuff

results ------------ to be seen.

It is a watershed moment in history for sure. Fund managers are already re-balancing and positioning for the Trump economic disaster that is coming.
