That’s the worst method of collecting data to determine employment rate. If you’ve been to school you should know that determining employment rate is a very specific process. We do not include people not seeking employment due to various factors such as drug addiction, lack of skills to enter the job market, and many other circumstances that keep people from seeking employment. Now if you go to the street and encounter such people, you’ll include them in your statistic and you’ll be wrong.
If the official statistics aren’t what you rely on, you better come up with a more superior measure of unemployment rate. Wearing tinfoil hats isn’t the solution.
