russia were hitlers allies at the beginning, they divided Poland between them ....without that alliance the war may just have been too risky for hitler to start
then after russia took over from hitlers dictatorship for the haf of Europe in the iron curtain
the russians think now they are 'special" the way the Germans did under Hitler ....wiuth some right to rule their neighbours
russia are in expansionist mode and must be stopped ...the US and the west are being too cautious ....and being too cautious is itself a risk as Chamberlains appeasement demonstrates.
