ok, I've looked again - I'd never investigated his 'influence' on America so much.
well, - to be honest. I'd be taking the American was and having a total rethink. I did know that More had ideas on discussion and democracy and also compromise
but, he hadn't met Americans - they came along later. I suggest if he had have, he might have rethought a few things.
The problem with all of these systems is that there are people in them, and if you have self serving thieves who are prepared to cooperate for the benefit of a few of them - it's called corruption
and no system works then.
It's wonderful to write and opine about open discussion and the like - but, if there's trash involved - it's going nowhere
