I think Shenge has done a lot to reduce Cap. costs and streamline the operation but with the trade war ramping up I believe US and EU interests will need to be protected in terms of availability of RE, domicile of the company, and control of the company. I think Trump's visit is about the strategic importance of Greenland because of location and also mineral resources. The problem with US involvement is that it may delay the entire process unless it is deemed of critical strategic importance and fast tracked perhaps by presidential directive.
I think Shenge could still manage and develop the project as they are able, ready, willing except they would have to agree to restrictive ML terms that they may not like. Just my opinion with nothing officially.
Bottom line- This is a huge deposit, well located, stable country, lowest cost producer etc. which will need to be developed. well worth the current price IMO.
