charlie, you're full of contradictions, mate! Death penalty IS part of a faulty judicial system. American jails are absolute hell. Extremely bad, degrading, expensive (In many jails inmates pay for their lousy keep) and ruthless wardens. I've seen a number of shows on these new privatised jails and they are disgusting. So I'm not at all surprised by Amnesty's findings. I used to belong to that organisation once but I sorta lapsed after a while. Too often out of the country.
