Umizoomi: 'You are doing the calculation wrongly...'
Nothing wrong with the calcs, Umi, just a different - yet valid - perspective.
It's possible to analyze trade in many ways eg - over time and value/MC.
I've just taken last Friday's trade to illustrate that from an American market perspective right now, BLT is (still) a minnow.
Why? Possibly because:
. American investors and their advisers have yet to properly research the value/potential of BLT's IP;
. While impressed with BLT's technology they're cautious because BLT is based in Australia, an unfamiliar place, far away;
. They've done their research and they're sceptical;
More calcs: On Friday, the value of BNIKF trade (closing price x volume) totalled some $A1.2m. The value of BLT on ASX totalled a record $4.1m.
On this basis, I'd say the Australian market is much more influential than the American market.
We're leading the Americans - as, perhaps, we should.
Of course, this could change dramatically.
If just 5pc of the $185m in US money invested in the listed RNAi space on Friday was invested in BNIKF, the value of trade would have been $9.25m - a level that would strongly propel the Australian market.
One day soon, this may happen. I sure hope it does.
