If the price of steel in USA goes up by more than 25% we will make more on our exports than we were before the tariffs and massively more on the Northstar 3 millions tonnes we produce in the US. I wish our local politicians would just butt out trying to big note themselves(“Turnbull” is so far up himself). Trump will do what he wants as all bullies do this world of ours. If the tariffs stands BSL may be forced to sever a decades old partnership with Steelscape. It will interesting what BSL do, continue supply, find alternate customers or even try to slim back production. I think Steelscape will struggle to find a domestic supplier to fill the gap left by BSL supply and will lobby Trump for an exemption. All in my option.
